And the community notices trucks staged overnight on the street, so we schedule these as clean same-day loads and do not leave a trailer parked in front of your neighbor’s house. Wolf Ranch, Berry Creek
Wolf Ranch and the newer sections off SH 29 are the opposite job: move-ins, not move-outs. Two-story homes, a straight run of stairs, empty garages, and streets that are still half construction site. Builder pickups, portable toilets, dumpsters, and a concrete truck mean there is often no clean spot for a 26-foot truck within sight of your front door. We get there early and take the parking before the trades do, and we bring floor runners and door jamb protection, because a brand-new stair tread scuffs if you look at it wrong and the builder will happily blame you for it.
Berry Creek is a different animal. Bigger lots, long driveways, and mature oaks hanging well under the thirteen and a half feet a box truck needs to clear. Sometimes the right call is to shuttle in from the street with a smaller vehicle rather than take a branch off your tree for free.
The historic homes around the Square
The older streets near the courthouse square are the hardest moves in Georgetown and it is not close. Pier-and-beam construction with a porch step at every door. Narrow interior staircases with a turn at the top and no room to stand a mattress upright. Tall old doorways that are somehow still too narrow for a modern sectional. And no driveway at all, so the truck lives on the street. Parking downtown is tight and one-way in places, and a Saturday event on the Square can close your loading spot entirely. We check the date against what is happening downtown before we give you a number, because a two-block carry is a real cost and you deserve to hear about it in advance.
Drive time from Del Valle
Our yard is at 4200 Burch Dr in Del Valle, and Georgetown is the far end of our local map: roughly 45 to 55 minutes running SH 130 north and cutting over on SH 29 rather than fighting I-35 through Round Rock. On hourly work, the route a company takes is your money. Ask whether drive time is billed and how the truck is getting to you. Anyone who gets annoyed at that question has already answered it.
